Early in the morning David, Caitlin, Rebecca, Joan and I
got in line to go up on the Temple Mount. We arrived around 7 AM and they
opened the gates at 7:30. There was a huge line by the time they opened.
We walked up the ramp beside the Western Wall to approach the Temple Mount |
Here are some views on the Temple Mount
The Al Aqsa Mosque
The Dome of the Rock...

A group of 11 of us decided to go to some museums on our
free day in Jerusalem.
These pictures are from the Holocaust Museum remembering
the 6 million Jews who were killed during the Holocaust, including the
children.
Candles with mirrors as a memorial. |
Then we visited the Israeli Museum…
A Sarcophagus |
A Christian Ossuary |
Mosaic from Beit Shean |
And the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are
kept...
Also, a scale model of the Second Temple period.
And a couple modern art sculptures…
It was a good day on our own. We only have one more day
before returning home!
